"If you're going to be racist, at least get your stereotypes right, you ignorant sack of shit," said Ronny Chieng.
The Daily Show's Ronny Chieng pulled no punches on Thursday when he laid into Fox News personality Jesse Watters over his recent "Watters World" segment in New York's Chinatown that has been called out for being blatantly racist.
Chieng blasted Watters for the bit, which was cooked up by the Bill O'Reilly corespondent because China was mentioned a few times during the first presidential debate.
Spliced in between Watters' ambush interviews with people on the street who could not speak English were old movie clips, like from The Karate Kid, and scenes of Watters attempting martial arts.
"If you're going to be racist, at least get your stereotypes right, you ignorant sack of shit," Chieng said. "Karate isn't Chinese, it's Japanese. And you're doing it in a tae kwon do studio, which is Korean, you f—ing jackoff."
After the controversy around the segment, Watters tweeted that he was a "political humorist" and had "regret if anyone found offense."
As a political humorist, the Chinatown segment was intended to be a light piece, as all Watters World segments are.

My man-on-the-street interviews are meant to be taken as tongue-in-cheek and I regret if anyone found offense.

Chieng also went to Chinatown and spoke to people in their own language, eliciting thoughtful opinions on the two presidential candidates. There were also a few jabs thrown Watters' way.
