'Dance' sends CTV spinning

Katie Holmes' appearance helps boost ratings

TORONTO -- The 100th episode of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" on Thursday night become Canadian broadcaster CTV's most-watched episode ever for the series.

The dance competition series drew 1.94 million viewers, backed by a performance by Katie Holmes, according to BBM Nielsen numbers.

The ratings made "So You Think You Can Dance" the top-rated show on Canadian TV this summer, according to CTV.

The Thursday night audience was also up 30% from the season average audience of 1.53 million viewers for the Fox series.

CTV will also this summer follow the U.S. series with a Canadian version, "So You Think You Can Dance Canada," which returns for its second season.
