'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' and 'Orphan Black' stars topline the romancer to shoot in Canada's Arctic.

DeHaan is to play Roman and Maslany is Lucy, two young adults fighting the elements and their inner-demons as they fall in love in a small North Pole town. The Canadian film from Oscar-nominated director Kim Nguyen (War Witch) and Max Films will shoot in Timmins, Ontario before heading up to Iqaluit in Canada's north.

DeHaan earlier starred in Canadian director Atom Egoyan's Devil's Knot, a take on the West Memphis Three. Maslany got on the Hollywood map with her star turn in Space and BBC America's Orphan Black, now in its third season.

TF1 International picked up the worldwide distribution rights to Two Lovers and a Bear and will start shopping the indie to international buyers at the Cannes Film Festival. Roger Frappier, Jonathan Bronfman and Ellen Hamilton are producing, with Jeff Sackman executive producing.
