Danette Herman Named Oscar Telecast Coordinating Producer

Danette Herman has been named coordinating producer for the 83rd Academy Awards telecast. Herman has previously co-produced the Academy's Governors Awards as well as serving as coordinating producer for the 33rd Kennedy Center Honors. She has also participated in other live broadcasts such as the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, CNN Heroes and An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre.

Herman has worked on the Oscars in various capacities for more than three decades, primarily as the executive spearheading talent booking and wrangling.

Telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer said in a statement, "Danette brings solid-gold experience with the entire film community to the show. We are extremely pleased that she will once again be an integral part of the Oscar team."

The 83rd annual Academy Awards air Feb. 27 on ABC.
