Daniel Craig: "Maybe I'll Make Another" James Bond Film

Daniel Craig on Today — H 2015

Daniel Craig also confirmed he wrecked "three or four" Aston Martins while filming 'Spectre.'

Daniel Craig sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today show on Thursday and spoke about how Spectre celebrates what James Bond is all about.

Craig and Lauer chatted about Christoph Waltz as the new Bond villain and about how each film continues to push the envelope. Craig also confirmed he wrecked three or four Aston Martins that were made especially for the film.

Toward the end of the interview, Lauer brought up Craig's comments that suggested he would rather slash his wrists than make another Bond film. He asked Craig to put the quote into context.

Craig responded by saying that director Sam Mendes is much more eloquent than him and added, "If you're 200 yards from the end of the marathon and someone comes up to you and asks, 'Are you going to run another marathon?' there's two words you use."

The actor and Lauer joked that those words were not appropriate for a morning show.

"I've had massive amounts of fun making this film," said Craig, adding that he's probably had more fun on Spectre than on all his previous Bond movies put together. "The simple answer is: I don't want to think about it."

He reiterated that he's had a "wonderful, wonderful time" making the movies and allowed, "Maybe I'll make another one, I don't know."
