She had led publicity campaigns for the 'Underworld' and 'Resident Evil' franchises.
Danielle Misher has been promoted to executive vp marketing at Screen Gems, it was announced Friday by Josh Greenstein, president of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Misher will report to Dwight Caines, president of domestic theatrical marketing for SPE.
In her new role, Misher will oversee the creation of trailers, posters, television ads and other marketing materials as well as the publicity campaigns that support Screen Gems’ theatrical releases. She previously served as senior vp marketing for Screen Gems, leading publicity campaigns for the Think Like a Man, Underworld and Resident Evil franchises as well as The Wedding Ringer, Heaven Is for Real and Easy A.
Misher joined Screen Gems in 2002 as vp publicity and was later promoted to senior vp. She previously worked at MGM as a senior publicist and began her entertainment industry career in the film publicity department at Rogers & Cowan.
“Danielle has excelled at Screen Gems, creating campaigns that are both innovative and incredibly effective. Those first-rate instincts for understanding what resonates with audiences will be a great asset in her expanded role,” Greenstein said.
