'Dark Angel's' Richard Gunn Joins Canadian Indie 'Gridlocked' (Exclusive)

The veteran actor will play the head of mercenaries in the action-thriller from director Allan Ungar.

TORONTO – Richard Gunn, who starred in James Cameron's Dark Angel TV series, has joined the cast of the Canadian action-thriller Gridlocked from director Allan Ungar.

Gunn will play the role of Maddox, the head of mercenaries, as part of an ensemble cast that includes Dominic Purcell, Stephen Lang, Vinnie Jones, Cody Hackman and Danny Glover.

Gridlocked follows a former SWAT leader (Purcell) who is being shadowed by an arrogant movie star, played by Hackman.

Hackman’s Hackybox Pictures is financing and producing the feature, which is based on a script by Ungar and Rob Robol.

Bruno Marino, Geoff Hart and Jenna Mattison are producing Gridlocked, which starts shooting on July 7 in Toronto and London, Ontario.

Gunn, who stars in the BYUtv original series Granite Flats, will also play the role of Lou Cates in Dark Places, to also star Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicholas Hoult, Corey Stoll and Christina Hendricks.

And Gunn will star opposite Mischa Barton in the indie film Ghost Station, which will also shoot in Canada this summer.

Gunn is represented by Pantheon Talent and is managed by Michael Lazo and Matthew Seamons at Untitled Entertainment.
