Dates set for this year's Parisfx

Trade show focuses on digital VFX

PARIS -- The second edition of Parisfx, a trade show dedicated to visual effects in France, is planned for Nov. 19-20, organizers said Friday.

This year's edition will focus on digital effects, with producers, directors, postproduction houses and VFX supervisors demonstrating their work.

Among the films showcased will be "Faubourg 36," with effects provided by Mikros and L'EST; "Speed Racer," with effects by Buf; and "The Dark Knight," with effects by Buf and Double Negative.

A roundtable will discuss digital creation in the forefront of the cultural industries.

The first edition of Parisfx drew 1,300 attendees.
