'Dave' a fave of Uni, Stuber/Parent


Universal-based producers Scott Stuber and Marry Parent have dipped into their development fund to buy the comedy pitch "One Dave at a Time" from writer Gerald Olson. Stuber and Parent will produce via their Stuber/Parent shingle.

Plot details are being kept under wraps.

Becky Sloviter brought the project into Stuber/Parent and will oversee.

Olson, repped by Benderspink, is packaging his script "Posthumous" and is readying to go out with his drama "A Birder's Guide to the Mating Habits of Widows."

Stuber/Parent are in production on "The Kingdom," being directed by Peter Berg and starring Jamie Foxx. It also is prepping "Halo," the adaptation of the popular video game to be directed by Neill Blomkamp.
