David Foster Declines to Participate in Donald Trump's Inauguration
"I was asked to participate in the upcoming inauguration some time ago and respectfully declined," the musician posted on his Instagram page.
Music producer David Foster made it clear over the weekend that he has no intentions of participating in President-elect Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration.
“Woke up this morning to a lot of news,” Foster wrote Saturday on Instagram. “For the record, I was asked to participate in the upcoming inauguration some time ago and I politely and respectfully declined. Any news outlet that is reporting otherwise is misinformed.”
On Friday, the New York Post reported that Foster would be playing an active role in organizing the Jan. 20 inauguration. “Neither me nor my manager was ever contacted by Page Six or any other media outlet,” he told People.
During his career, the Grammy-winning producer has worked with music legends such as Barbra Streisand, Michael Buble, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion.
