David Hasselhoff set for A&E reality series

'The Hoff' set to debut this year with 10 episodes

You can't keep a good Hoff down.

A couple weeks after NBC announced David Hasselhoff is leaving his judging post on NBC's "America's Got Talent," A&E has ordered a new reality series with the actor.

The 10-episode series focuses on the actor's entertainment endeavors and helping his teenage daughters break into the recording industry. The series is from FremantleMedia North America and will debut this year.

"It's the dream of every parent to be able to help their children succeed," Hasselhoff said. "I told the girls that I would help them open the door when they are ready, but they would have to walk through it on their own. This is their time and I am excited to be a part of it."

NBC recently announced Hasselhoff would be replaced with Howie Mandel on "Talent." Hasselhoff holds the world record from Guinness as "The Most Watched TV Star in the World."
