David Strathairn Joins Teen Thriller 'November Criminals'

'Hitchcock' director Sacha Gervasi began shooting the movie Monday.

David Strathairn has joined the cast of November Criminals, Sacha Gervasi's thriller starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Ansel Elgort as teenagers who venture into the seedy underbelly of Washington, D.C., to investigate a friend's murder.

Catherine Keener also stars in the film adaptation of Sam Munson’s 2011 novel. November Criminals, from Lotus Entertainment, began production Monday in Rhode Island and Washington, D.C. with Steven Knight (Eastern Promises) penning the script.

Beth O’Neil and Black Bicycle Entertainment's Erika Olde are producing November Criminals with Lotus. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has already snapped up rights for English-speaking markets, as well as for numerous other international territories.
Strathairn is represented by ICM Partners and Ryan Entertainment.
