Bonnie Hunt didn't rush to her new talk show
Bonnie Hunt will enter the daytime arena Sept. 8 with a new talk show, "The Bonnie Hunt Show," from Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution and Telepictures Prods. The actress had actually been pursued for years to host a talker — former Warners/Telepictures executive and "Hunt" executive producer Jim Paratore had tried for 15 years to get her to sign on, and David Letterman's Worldwide Pants offered her "Late Late Show" after Craig Kilborn exited — but Hunt hadn't felt the timing was right until now. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Hunt to find out why she finally decided to say yes and whether her two-time co-star and notorious Oprah couch-jumper Tom Cruise might make an appearance.
