'Degrassi' in session in 85% of U.S.
EmptyProgram Partners has cleared the drama series "Degrassi: The Next Generation" in more than 85% of the U.S. for its fall launch in syndication.
Among the 33 additional stations recently clearing the strip include those from the Belo, Clear Channel, Freedom, Gray, Lockwood, LIN, Schurz, Sinclair and Weigel groups, including WZMY Boston, WBGN Pittsburgh, WDJT/WMLW Milwaukee, WUOA/WVUA Birmingham, Ala., WSKY Norfolk, Va., and KTUD Las Vegas.
With these clearances, the show is now cleared in 19 of the top 20 and 27 of the top 30 markets. Program Partners is marketing "Degrassi" as an outgrowth of its overall distribution agreement with Thunderbird Films.
