On demand on the rise


The amount of time television watchers are spending with video-on-demand and shows recorded by their DVRs has doubled in a year, from 2% to 4%, according to Leichtman Research Group. While growing quickly, the number remains so small that TV and advertising executives need not overreact -- for now -- to the threat they pose.
