Did Kanye Hack Kim's Account? Kardashian West Aims Twitter Rant at Chloe Moretz, Bette Midler

Ranting seems to be infectious at Casa Kimye.

Move over, Kanye. Kim's just as good at ranting and settling scores on social media.

It all started with Kim Kardashian West posting a NSFW nude selfie on Sunday. The leave-nothing-to-the-imagination picture seemingly divided opinion and celebrities such as Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moretz, who took Kardashian West to task for it.

Midler joked on Twitter that "[if] Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera." Moretz, who also retweeted Midler's joke, was a little more outspoken. "I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies," the 5th Wave star wrote.

It took several hours, primarily because she was "busy cashing my $80 million video game check and transferring 53 million into our joint account," but the wrath of Kim was piqued. In a flurry of late-night tweets on Monday (eerily reminiscent of her husband Kanye West's recent Twitter rantathons), Kardashian West unloaded on both Midler and Moretz.

"Hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes #justkidding," Kardashian West fired at Midler, as well as trying to embarrass the Beaches star by revealing that she once gave her a gift and tried to befriend her.

Not long after, Kardashian West took aim at Moretz, pithily tweeting like a Bond villain: "let's all welcome @ChloeGMoretz to twitter, since no one knows who she is. Your Nylon cover is cute boo."

Unsurprisingly, Twitter users are speculating whether Kanye West was behind the rant rather than his wife, given his recent outbursts attacking everyone and everything. Kardashian West finished her rant with a mic-drop moment with what else? A nude selfie, of course, and the universe came back full circle.

Both Midler and Moretz responded to Kardashian's Twitter attacks.

On Tuesday morning, Midler wrote to the reality star, "I never tried to fake friend you," adding, "looks like anyone can take a selfie but not everyone can take a joke …"

Moretz also went on the defensive in reply to accusations of slut shaming by Kardashian and others on the Internet. "There's a huge difference in respecting the platform that you're given as a celebrity and 'slut shaming,'" she tweeted, noting that the act was "something I never have done and would never do."
