Diddy to guest-star on 'CSI: Miami'

Impresario plays prosecutor on two winter episodes

NEW YORK -- Sean "Diddy" Combs is becoming a prosecutor -- at least on television.

CBS said the rapper has agreed to a two-episode appearance on its crime drama "CSI: Miami."

The network said Combs will portray a prosecutor who does not get along with police Lt. Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso.

CBS said Tuesday that Combs' episodes probably will air in mid- to late winter.

Combs drew praise this year for his role in the ABC telefilm "A Raisin in the Sun."

Another rap artist, Nelly, has had a recurring role this season on CBS' "CSI: NY."
