She will oversee content and strategy for the film and TV production outfit.

Dionne Harmon has been promoted at Jesse Collins Entertainment, where she will now serve as executive vice president of content and strategy.

In her new role, Harmon oversees development and production at the film and TV production company's growing slate of scripted and unscripted content. Collins recently got attention for signing on to produce this year's Super Bowl halftime show, the Grammys and April's Academy Awards telecast.

Harmon previously served as vice president of development at Jesse Collins Entertainment, building the department from the ground up and expanding the company's slate and scope — producing CBS’s John Lewis: Celebrating a Hero, BET Awards, BET Hip Hop Awards, Soul Train Awards and Love & Happiness: An Obama Celebration, in addition to comedy specials Amanda Seales: I Be Knowin’ on HBO and Leslie Jones: Time Machine on Netflix.

Recently serving as an executive producer on Facebook series Cardi Tries, Harmon developed and produced competition series Hip Hop Squares on VH1, Nashville Squares on CMT and Netflix's Rhythm + Flow. On the scripted side of the business, she worked on both The New Edition Story and The Bobby Brown Story for BET.

Prior to her tenure at Jesse Collins Entertainment, the Harvard University grad worked at MTV, The Kanye West Foundation, Foxx-King Entertainment and OWN.
