Those sticks were banned from the park last summer.

Someone using a selfie stick while riding the roller coaster at Disney California Adventure on Monday night caused the California Screamin’ ride to be shut down for a few hours.

Disney spokeswoman Melissa Britt told The Hollywood Reporter the incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. when a guest on the coaster was spotted using the selfie stick.

Because it was being used, the ride had to be shut down and evacuated, Britt said.

The sticks are banned from the Anaheim park. The ban occurred last summer after a rider on the same coaster attempted to use a stick mid-trip.
