The “Wizards” movie drew 11.4 million viewers, along with 4 million Tweens 9-14. Among Disney’s 77 original movie premieres in its history, “Wizards” ranks as the network’s No. 2 telecast ever in total viewers and key kid demos (“High School Musical 2,” with 17.2 million viewers, holds the all-time record).
Disney Channel now can claim basic cable’s top four most-watched scripted telecasts since 2007, having also notched another large scoring telecast in July with the “Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana” crossover (9.3 million).
