Walt Disney has promoted Jonathan Headley to treasurer reporting to CFO Christine McCarthy, who was promoted this summer from treasurer to her current position, the conglomerate said Tuesday.

Headley joined Disney in 1996 as a senior analyst. He was treasurer of Hong Kong Disneyland during the park's development and was named Disney's assistant treasurer in 2004. Prior to Disney, Headley was an analyst at Goldman Sachs and a research associate at Harvard University.

In his new role, Headley will oversee Disney's global treasury functions, including cash management, pensions, banking activities and more.

"I am honored to assume this new role and to lead the great team that Christine has managed so effectively over the years," Headley said. "This is an exciting time of unprecedented growth."
