Disney Star Adam Hicks Arrested on Suspicion of Multiple Armed Robberies
The actor is being held on $350,000 bail.
Disney star Adam Hicks was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of committing multiple armed robberies, Sgt. Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department told The Hollywood Reporter.
On Wednesday, around 5 a.m., a 52-year-old man was walking in the area of Burbank Boulevard and Griffith Park Drive when he was approached by a man with a handgun, who police say was Hicks. The suspect demanded the man's wallet, police said. The victim was unharmed.
As officers were taking that report, three more armed street robberies occurred within minutes of each other, all in the Burbank hillside community under similar circumstances, police said.
The getaway vehicle reportedly involved in the crimes was reported seen and later found by officers, who were able to track the suspects to 1800 block of North Niagara Street. The vehicle had some of the stolen property inside, police said. Other property was found nearby.
Hicks and 23-year-old Danni Tamburo, who police said was the driver of the suspect vehicle during the robberies, were arrested. Additional stolen propriety was located on the premises, police said.
The 25-year-old starred in the Disney XD series Zeke and Luther and appeared in films such as How to Eat Fried Worms and Lemonade Mouth.
The actor recently appeared on several episodes of Hulu's zombie series Freakish.
Hicks and Tamburo are being held on $350,000 bail and are due in court Friday.
