Disney TV, ERT renew content deal for Greece

Deal covers movies, kids' series and drama

LONDON -- The Walt Disney Co.'s EMEA TV distribution arm, Disney-ABC ESPN Television, has renewed its multiyear volume agreement with ERT, Greece's leading free-TV broadcaster.

The agreement covers a wide selection of movies -- including "Enchanted," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and "There Will Be Blood" -- that will air on both terrestrial TV and DTT.

Younger viewers will be able to view "Camp Rock," new seasons of "Hannah Montana" and Playhouse Disney series.

The live-action drama selection includes "Desperate Housewives," "Lost," "Criminal Minds" and "Ghost Whisperer," established hits on ERT.

For Disney-ABC-ESPN Television, the deal was negotiated by Francesca Tauriello, senior vp program distribution EMEA (South) and Giovanni Mastrangelo, senior sales manager north Mediterranean markets, working with ERT.
