D23 Expo: Disney Unveils New 'Infinity' Figurines
A "Toy Story in Space" playset along with the first princess figurine are among the new additions.
Disney announced expansions to its upcoming Disney Infinity video game over the weekend at its D23 Expo in Anaheim.
The game is made up of modular gameplay chunks that users access by purchasing individual figurines of popular Disney characters. Disney has already announced figures from The Incredibles, Monsters University, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lone Ranger.
The new figures include a Toy Story in Space playset (featuring Buzz, Jessie and Woody) that will be released in October.
In addition, the company announced plans to introduce its first Disney Princess to the mix (Rapunzel from Tangled) as well as Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz (from Wreck-It Ralph), Jack Skellington (from A Nightmare Before Christmas), Perry the Platypus and Phineas (from Phineas and Ferb) and Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey (from Fantasia).
The lineup will also add Anna and Elsa, the main characters from Disney’s upcoming animated feature Frozen. The game is set to launch this Sunday.
