Distribution Consultancy The Festival Agency Opens L.A. Office
Founder Leslie Vuchot will head up the American office of the Paris-based distribution consultancy.
Paris-based distribution consultancy The Festival Agency will open a Los Angeles office to strengthen ties with American filmmakers.
The new Hollywood office will be headed up by former HanWay Films and Focus Films exec Leslie Vuchot, who founded the company in 2010. The outpost will seek to connect filmmakers to festival programmers.
The Festival Agency works on non-theatrical distribution deals through festivals and multirelease strategies across VOD platforms.
It is currently working with four titles screening at the Tribeca Film Festival: Jamie M. Dagg's Sweet Virginia, Brendan Muldowney's Pilgrimage, Guillaume Canet's Rock 'n' Roll and Dome Karukoski's Tom of Finland.
"It's particularly exciting to now be able to approach such a rich and creative culture of American filmmakers and to make all of our expertise and relationships available to them," said Vuchot.
Vuchot aims to help filmmakers create comprehensive international distribution, as well as festival and exhibition strategies.
"The Festival Agency team led by Leslie Vuchot can be a most useful ally for those who need strategic and proactive promotional planning as they prepare to launch their films internationally," said Cannes Marche du Film executive director Jerome Paillard.
The Festival Agency manages over 1,000 titles and libraries, including the catalog of the Wim Wenders Foundation.
Vice president Elodie Dupont will take over running the Paris office.
