DKC Taps Rogers & Cowan’s Wendy Zaas to Lead Entertainment Division (Exclusive)

Former R&C lifestyle and entertainment vp Taryn Owens also is joining the PR agency.

DKC has hired Rogers & Cowan executive vp consumer technology and digital entertainment Wendy Zaas to lead the PR agency’s national entertainment division. In addition to serving as director of entertainment, she will oversee the Los Angeles office as its general manager.

Zaas replaces Joe Quenqua, who moved to 42West last July. At Rogers & Cowan, Zaas expanded the agency’s video game practice and is expected to bring that capability to DKC as well. Over the course of her 25-year career, she has supervised the creation and execution of campaigns for brands from EA Sports, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, id Software, NVIDIA, RAZER, Zynga, Rovio, Activision and Myspace to The Recording Academy, General Motors, Scion, Kraft and Avon.

Following Zaas from R&C to DKC is Taryn Owens, who most recently was vp lifestyle and entertainment and will serve as a senior vp in her new agency’s entertainment division. Her clients have included Target, TOMS Shoes, Virginia Black, Sports Illustrated, L’Oreal, TOPPS, GQ, Jockey, Santa Maria Novella, Universal Studios Hollywood, Rovio, GoldieBlox and Tinder.
