Doggie Pool Parties Are a Real Thing — Not Just a Crazy 'Bachelorette' Date
This is not a drill.
Chris Harrison may have been onto something when he called season 13 of The Bachelorette one of the most exciting yet. I mean, we've already got secret girlfriends, and it's only week two!
But enough about the "journey to find love," the real hero of last night's celeb-filled episode (what's up, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar) was Rachel's pup, Copper, who played chaperone on her very first one-on-one date with our favorite plaid-suited gentlemen from week one, Peter.

The pair made the trek eastward to a private residence in Palm Desert, where Copper (wearing a doggie cast!) was treated to his very own doggie pool party with muts of all shapes and sizes splashin' and swimmin' and having a grand ol' time.
But lest you think this is just another of the Bachelor franchise's fantasy dates, we have good news: Dog pool parties are very much a real thing, and yes, there is photographic evidence.
Behold, dog pool parties in their various forms, including one specifically for dachshunds!

If your mut is beach-body ready, there are plenty of venues in the L.A.-area for a wet and wild time, including Two Hands, Four Paws, a canine physical rehabilitation center which offers "Fun Swims" a few times per month, and Doggie Central in Playa Vista, which hosts pricey pup pool parties that'll cost you $125 per hour with a 2 hour minimum. (Probably worth it though.)
And though it's not technically a pool party, per se, we would also recommend the annual Corgi Beach Day in Huntington Beach as a canine-friendly, water-adjacent event. Come for the sunshine, stay for the Corgis in costume.
Could this doggie-centric date be the most romantic date setting in the history of The Bachelor/Bachelorette? Stay tuned.
