The "Celebrity Apprentice" star and real estate mogul snipes: "I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man- he made a good decision."

Has Donald Trump stooped to his lowest level yet?

The trouble-making, feud-loving real estate mogul and Celebrity Apprentice star has attacked Arianna Huffington, editor of the Huffington Post, as "unattractive" in his latest Twitter tant.

Wait, there's more. The full tweet reads: "@ariannahuff is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man- he made a good decision."

He then posted this bitterly ominous message: "Don't think my statement on @ariannahuff was harsh, if you knew her and the phony Huffington Post you would understand--- more to follow."

So far, no response from Huffington on Twitter. And a rep from HuffPo did not immediately respond to THR's request for comment.

What's the root of this apparently one-sided feud? According to TMZ, Trump's anger stems from an Aug. 16 report titled: "Donald Trump: Why So Moody?"

The story, written by the HuffPo's Jack Mirkinson, playfully suggests "the birther/mogul/pageant overlord has been especially crabby of late" and purports to investigate "the source of his misery." Mirkinson lists a series of Trump's tweets targeting such media outlets as Vanity Fair, Salon and, again, AOL-owned HuffPo, mocking each with such bon mots as: "Maybe he tried some of his cologne, 'Success by Trump,' and all of his dreams didn't come true."

Trump's response thereafter: ""The Huffington Post is such a loser--it will die just as AOL is dying, What a stupid deal AOL made to buy it!"
