Trump is taking heat for anti-immigrant remarks he made when announcing his presidential bid.

Donald Trump is not backing down from assertions he made about illegal immigrants coming over the border from Mexico.

In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon, Trump defended comments he made June 16 while announcing his presidential run, in which he said Mexico was sending illegal immigrants that are "bringing crime. They're rapists." Those comments have cost him relationships with Univision, NBC and Macy's.

On The Situation Room, Trump said his facts were coming from a Fusion article.

"If you go to Fusion, you will see a story: About 80 percent of the women coming in — you know who owns Fusion? Univision! Go to Fusion and pick up the stories on rape," Trump said. "It's unbelievable when you look at what's going on. So all I'm doing is telling the truth."

Lemon said those statistics were about women traveling across the border being raped, but it did not say illegal immigrants were the ones perpetrating the crimes.

"Well, somebody's doing the raping, Don! I mean somebody's doing it! Who's doing the raping? Who's doing the raping?" Trump replied.

Lemon also asked Trump about being dropped by Macy's.

"Who knows. They fold under pressure. That's the problem with our country: Everyone folds under pressure," Trump said.
