The remark was made on 'Trumped!,' a syndicated radio feature that aired from 2004 to 2008.

While Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are locked in a heated battle for the top seat in the land, Trump appears to once have been friendly with Clinton and believed in her skills enough to endorse her for the White House.

In tapes unearthed by the Wall Street Journal and published online Tuesday, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee can be heard saying in a 2008 spot that Clinton would make a good commander-in-chief.

"I know her, and she would make a good president or a good vice president," the billionaire businessman said during that primary season on “Trumped!,” a syndicated radio feature that aired from 2004 to 2008, according to the Journal.

Trump appears to have weighed in on a multitude of issues, some lighthearted, some serious, during the program, but it's his comment about Clinton that grabbed headlines Tuesday.

Ever since it became apparent he was likely to win the GOP nomination, Trump has sunk his teeth into Clinton, relentlessly hammering away at, in his opinion, her inability to be a leader.
