The New York publication put the GOP nominee on blast for his sexist remarks.

Donald Trump made headlines late on Friday when hot microphone audio from 2005 was published, revealing the Republican nominee speaking crassly about women.

“I did try and f— her. She was married,” said Trump about a woman named "Nancy" in a lewd conversation with Billy Bush of Access Hollywood. The unearthed conversation was reported by the Washington Post, which edited a videotape of the incident. Access Hollywood later identified the woman to be Nancy O'Dell, current co-host of Entertainment Tonight, during its Friday-night show.

Saturday's edition of the New York Daily News highlights Trump's most controversial comment from the leaked tape, using it as its headline.

Sharing an early look at the cover via Twitter on Friday afternoon, the newspaper's caption read: "Early look at tomorrow's front page What Trump said he liked to do to attractive women: 'GRAB THEM BY THE P---Y' "

The paper said Trump made the comments prior to appearing on the set of Days of Our Lives, on which the real estate mogul had a cameo. He and Bush also reportedly targeted Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker in the lewd conversation.

In a statement released earlier on Friday, Trump said: "This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended."

Access Hollywood declined to comment ahead of Friday's show.
