Users will be able to play as E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son, who is the main character in the Russell Brand-James Marsden film.

Doodle Jump, the popular iPhone/iPod touch app from Lima Sky, is introducing a new Easter-themed game level Tuesday as part of a promotion for Universal Pictures/Illumination Entertainment's upcoming live action/CG comedy Hop.

The promotion is being billed as the first film crossover into a mobile game, and the free update will allow users to play as E.B., the Easter Bunny's teenage son, who is the main character in Hop, which opens April 1.

First released in March 2009, Doodle Jump follows a character known as Doodle the Doodler up a sheet of graph paper.

Players can unlock the new level by setting their name in the end-game screen to Hop. Available as a free download Tuesday, the level will also be included in all new download purchases of Doodle Jump.

"Doodle Jump players have always enjoyed when we introduce new characters and themes to the game, and allowing them to play as the lovable E.B. from Hop will be a special treat," said Igor Pusenjak, president and co-founder of Lima Sky.

"Lima Sky has created a beautifully designed update that combines the character of E.B. with the addictive game play of Doodle Jump within a colorful brand new Easter theme," added Calvin Lim, director of mobile for Universal Partnerships & Licensing.

Hop, which features the voices of Russell Brand and James Marsden, is directed by Tim Hill, who also helmed Alvin and the Chipmunks, and produced by Chris Meledandri's Illumination.
