Dossett is next up to run Yahoo media

The ever-revolving door at Yahoo's media division took another spin with the appointment of a new top executive to replace the departing Scott Moore, whose exit was confirmed Monday.

Jeff Dossett, executive producer and GM of MSN Media Network, will replace Moore in a newly created position, senior vp U.S. audience. Moore, who was senior vp Yahoo Media Group, hasn't indicated where he is headed.

Yahoo has been rocked by a series of high-level defections inside its content arm going back several years to Lloyd Braun.

Braun was replaced by Vince Broady, who left in late 2007 to make room for Moore, then head of Yahoo News. Yahoo Media also has lost senior execs including David Katz, Karin Gilford, Brooke Chaffin, Ira Kurgan and Drew Buckley.

Dossett will report to Hilary Schneider, executive vp Yahoo U.S. He has spent the past eight years at MSN.
