Music mogul Dr. Dre is "doing great" after he was hospitalized in Los Angeles following a reported brain aneurysm, he said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday.

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes.  I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," Dre's statement reads. "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.  Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

The 55-year-old rapper, record executive and businessman, born Andre Romelle Young, was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after reportedly being stricken Monday.

The hospital said in a statement that "due to patient privacy laws, we can neither confirm nor deny that any individual is a patient at Cedars-Sinai."

Rapper LL Cool J tweeted later in the evening, "Dre is recovering nicely."

"Prayers up for Dr. Dre and his family for healing & Strength over his mind & body," Missy Elliott added in her own message on Tuesday.
