Thanks in part to premiere-week shows featuring Casey Anthony's parents, "Dr. Phil" ratings have rocketed to a 3.9, with a (metered market) 10 percent share of the viewing audience, according to Nielsen.

Dr. Phil appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Wednesday night where Kimmel asked the talk show host if he was disappointed that he missed out on the big Jenner interview, which Diane Sawyer got instead.

Had Dr. Phil been given the chance to interview Bruce Jenner about his transition, he believes his sit-down would have been short and uninteresting, comprising questions like, "You're almost 80. What's the point?"

The good doctor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday night where Kimmel asked the talk show host if he was disappointed that he missed out on the big Jenner interview, which Diane Sawyer got instead.

Phil responded, "I would be boring to talk to about that. Because I would just say [to Jenner], 'Look, if it's what you want to do, do it. What the hell does it matter what anybody else thinks?'"

"That would be the first 30 seconds," Phil continued, "and I guess we'd spend the next hour and 59 minutes saying, 'You're almost 80. What's the point?' He's kind of past prime."
