When doesn't she knock it out of the (fashion) park?

The Dress: A long-sleeve Carmen Marc Valvo gown with shimmery sheer side details that accentuated her curves.

The Wearer: The always elegant Helen Mirren.

The Event: At the Roundabout Theatre Company's spring gala in New York on Monday evening. Mirren was the evening's honoree, receiving The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre.

Why We Dig: Can the Great Dame ever do wrong? As far as we can tell, that would be a no. In between this latest look and her recent commercial for L'Oreal Paris, the 69-year-old actress proves time and time again she's exactly how we want to be when we grow up — aging with beauty, grace and wit. Mirren wasn't afraid to flaunt her hourglass figure in the navy frock and even with the sheer panels, she still manages to look as classy as ever. Without taking away from the gown, she accessorized her evening ensemble with a thin choker, diamond drop earrings and a black clutch. Dame Helen Mirren, please teach us your ways.
