The actress will contribute monthly content to the women's lifestyle website.

What makes the perfect breakfast sandwich? Drew Barrymore is here to explain.

The actress has been tapped to contribute stories on food, travel, fashion and beauty as editor-at-large for women’s lifestyle website Refinery29. One of her first posts will be about the breakfast staple, co-CEO Justin Stefano told The Hollywood Reporter

In her new role, Barrymore will create content for Refinery29 at least once a month and will act as an editorial advisor. Stefano said Barrymore’s perspective should appeal to many different women.

“Drew has a unique ability to appeal to the super indie scene, but she also has mass appeal,” he said. “We wanted to expand our awareness with a broader range of women. We thought she was a good fit on that level.”

He added that Barrymore, who recently launched cosmetics line Flower Beauty, has long been an entrepreneur and content creator. The actress will also reunite with Adam Sandler in romantic comedy Blended later this year.

Adding an editor-at-large is part of the media company’s plan to branch beyond its roots as a fashion website, which sees more than 10 million unique visitors a month. The site has expanded into subjects such as health, entertainment and news, in addition to style and beauty.

Entertainment, especially, has been an important subject for the website, Stefano said.

“That’s something that we’re excited about because we get a lot of traffic from it and we get a lot of reader engagement in that area,” he said. “But our entertainment content is different than other sites. We never take a negative point of view.”

Though Refinery29 features posts from celebrity contributors such as Lauren Conrad, Barrymore’s appointment is the first of its kind for the site.

Editor-in-chief Christene Barberich said Barrymore will bring a complimentary point-of-view.

“Because she's always out there in the world searching for inspiration as it relates to how real modern women want to look and feel, we're excited for her to share her point of view and ideas with the R29 reader, and allow us to connect with Drew in a whole new way," she said in a statement.
