Dujardin, Reno rolling in 'Cash'


PARIS -- Two of France's most bankable stars, Jean Dujardin and Jean Reno, have signed on to star in "Cash," directed by Eric Besnard and produced by Patrice Ledoux's Pulsar Prods. with Canal Plus and TF1.

The famous Jeans will join forces for the first time on the big screen, along with actresses Alice Taglioni and Valeria Golino for this upcoming "Ocean's Eleven" a la francaise.

Dujardin, the French James Bond of "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies" fame, will play Cash, a gangster and swindler who decides to avenge the death of his brother Solal without violence or weapons.

The detective thriller will begin its 11-week shoot May 9 in Paris before heading south to the Cote d'Azur, and will be released in the territory by TFM Distribution.

This will be Besnard's second time in the director's chair following 1999's "Le Sourire du Clown." The helmer recently completed the script for "Babylon A.D.," Mathieu Kassovitz' upcoming sci-fi thriller starring Vin Diesel.
