Dustin Hoffman Praises Piers Morgan for Gun Control Stance at the Oscars (Video)
"God bless you for what you're saying," the actor tells the CNN host on the red carpet.
Dustin Hoffman and Piers Morgan found time Sunday to talk about gun control while on the red carpet prior to the Oscar show.
The CNN host has been metaphorically pounding the table in favor of more gun laws since several mass shootings, and the Oscar-winning actor of Rain Man obviously has taken note.
After a few moments of playful banter between Hoffman and Morgan, the host asked the actor: “Do you still get starstruck?”
“I feel extraordinary that I’m talking to you!” Hoffman replied, then added: “And God bless you for what you’re saying about gun control.”
After thanking him, Morgan invited him on the show, and Hoffman seemed to accept, though Morgan inferred it wasn’t the first time he has requested Hoffman’s presence on his show: “You’ve proved rather elusive,” he told Hoffman at the end of the interview.
