Earth Television signs with AP

Munich-based broadcaster/producer inks distribution deal

COLOGNE, Germany -- Munich-based broadcaster/producer earth television network has signed a distribution deal with the Associated Press that will see AP distribute earthTV content across Europe.

The deal, announced Monday, will see AP handle earthTV’s hourly World Live programs, its weather programming and the network’s event programming, including earthTV’s 2010 World Cup Countdown, which features daily life footage from the South African cities hosting next year’s international soccer championship.

In addition to traditional broadcasters, AP will license earthTV’s web TV player to newspaper and publishing clients for online use.

EarthTV owns and operates a worldwide network of remote-controlled television cameras that provide 24-hour live feeds that are customized in language and design for local broadcast clients.
