Ed Borgerding Steps Down as Abu Dhabi Media Company, Imagenation CEO

The former Walt Disney exec is leaving to concentrate on independent projects.


LONDON -- The Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) CEO Ed Borgerding is stepping down after three years heading the company and its subsidiary Imagenation Abu Dhabi.

Borgerding, a former Walt Disney high flier, is leaving to "concentrate on independent projects," according to a statement from the ADMC.

ADMC CFO Frank Mooty steps into Borgerding's shoes as acting CEO of both ADMC and Imagenation Abu Dhabi.

ADMC chairman H.E. Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei thanked Borgerding for his work and said the hunt for a successor has begun.

Imagenation Abu Dhabi has production funds set up with Participant Media ($250 million), National Geographic Entertainment ($100 million) and Hyde Park Entertainment ($100 million).
