EFM offering discount ahead of Berlinale

Market badges can be booked early for $445

COLOGNE, Germany -- In honor of the Berlin International Film Festival's 60th anniversary next year, and in a bid to entice recession-hit sellers, the European Film Market is offering a 25% discount on its market badges and 30% off the price of an EFM screening pass for attendees who book before Nov. 30. EFM accreditation begins Oct. 15.

Early-bird bookers will pay €300 ($445) for a market badge instead of €400 ($593) and €200 ($296) not €300 ($445) for a screening pass. The market badge includes accreditation for the Berlin festival that a screening pass does not. Festival accreditation for will remain at €100 ($148), press accreditation at €60 ($89).

The 60th Berlin International Film Festival is set for Feb. 11-21.
