'Eight Days' on CW's calendar

The CW has picked up the comedy pilot "Eight Days a Week" to series with a 12-episode midseason order.

The single-camera comedy, whose ensemble cast includes Christina Milian and Mario Lopez, revolves around four twentysomethings who work under the top movers and shakers in New York.

CBS Paramount Network TV, Warner Bros. TV and Hazy Mills are producing the project, which is executive produced by Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner.

Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin penned the pilot and serve as producers.

"Eight Days" joins another new CW comedy, the single-camera "Aliens in America," which the network picked up last month for a fall launch.
