Elbow signs new deal with Geffen


NEW YORK -- U.K. rock act Elbow has inked a new deal with Fiction/Geffen, which will on April 22 release the band's new album, "The Seldom Seen Kid." First single "One Day Like This" will be available digitally on March 18.

"Seldom Seen" is the follow-up to 2005's "Leaders of the Free World," released in the States by the now-defunct V2. Elbow will celebrate the new album with a short North American tour, beginning April 26 in New York.

In related news, frontman Guy Garvey guests on "Vantage Point," the upcoming album from Belgian rock outfit dEUS, due April 21 internationally. The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson also contributes to the project.
