"When you’re shooting a movie, it’s a 12-hour day," says Banks. "You don’t have time to think about anything else. I love that. It’s my dirty little secret because it’s the greatest excuse not to live the rest of your life."

Banks and partner Max Handelman produced the 'Pitch Perfect' franchise and an upcoming Billie Jean King biopic for HBO.

Elizabeth Banks and producing partner Max Handelman have signed an exclusive overall producing deal with Warner Bros. Television.

Their company, Brownstone Productions, will develop and produce new TV series for the studio under a multiyear pact.

Brownstone Productions produced the hits Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2, which Banks also directed and appears in. Pitch Perfect 2 opened strongly in May, taking in $259.7 million worldwide to date. The first installment in the a capella franchise earned $115.4 million worldwide.

The pair also recently signed a film production deal at Universal, where they are developing several projects including Pitch Perfect 3 and Red Queen, based on the YA novel, which would also be a directing vehicle for Banks.

In the television and digital space the company produced Resident Advisors, a comedy series with Paramount Digital for Hulu, and are currently developing a biopic starring Banks as Billie Jean King for HBO.

Banks' recent acting credits include The Hunger Games franchise, Love & Mercy and the upcoming Magic Mike XXL. She's repped by Untitled Entertainment, UTA and Ziffren Brittenham.
