Emilia Clarke Is the New Face of Dior Jewelry

From mother of dragons to mother-of-pearl.

Just in time for the coming of winter, Emilia Clarke is frosting herself in gems and jewels as the new face of Dior Fine Jewelry. 

The first images from the campaign show the brunette beauty in a Steve Jobs-worthy black turtleneck, bright red lips and delicate strands of turquoise and lapis lazuli, while a second shot shows her dressed in a white button-down and dripping in diamonds and mother-of-pearl from the Rose des Vents' line.

The badass Game of Thrones star (also known as Khaleesi/Daenerys Targaryen, mother of dragons) joins fellow badasses Johnny Depp and Jennifer Lawrence as a spokesperson for the storied French fashion house. Her new position is really no surprise, however, considering she sat front row at the brand's spring 2016 show and was seen rocking the label last month.

The announcement comes in the midst of an uncertain time for the brand, following the departure of former creative director Raf Simons as well as the circulation of rumors that Lanvin's Alber Elbaz will be taking his place.
