The actress shimmered at the world premiere of her upcoming thriller.

The Look: A tulle gown with engineered sequin "caravan" embroidery from Alexander McQueen's pre-spring 2017 collection.

The Wearer: Emily Blunt, star of fall's thriller The Girl on the Train (she plays said girl on said train), who was styled by The Hollywood Reporter power stylist Jessica Paster.

The Event: The world premiere of The Girl on the Train, which also was attended by Blunt's co-stars Haley Bennett and Luke Evans, at Odeon Leicester Square in London on Tuesday evening.

Why It Matters: Following the debut of her new blonde 'do, the actress has kept the spring-time vibes coming, stepping out in a beautifully embroidered gown by Alexander McQueen creative director Sarah Burton. But despite the Easter-esque color palette, the long sleeves still make it appropriate for fall, as does Blunt's kohl-rimmed smoky eye, which draws out the darker beading of the dress.

After a wash of monochromatic gowns on the Emmys red carpet, Blunt's bold patterned look was a welcome refresh that also seemed on trend given the maximalist moment the industry has seen on the runways at New York and London Fashion Weeks.
