How to Get Emily Ratajkowski's Smoky Blue Emmys Eye
The model-actress reinvents the smoky eye.
Emily Ratajkowski, most often known for her barely-there ensembles, stole the 68th Annual Emmys red carpet Sunday in a sculptural navy blue Zac Posen gown, and equally sultry gaze.
"I took inspiration from her dress and did an eye focus in the same family of blues," says makeup artist Hung Vanngo of Ratajkowski, who arrived on the arm of designer Posen. "I wanted to do something that would let her natural beauty and confidence shine through."
After prepping Ratajkowski's lids with Lorac's Behind the Scenes Eyeshadow Primer (21), Vanngo layered on shades from the brand's Pro Palette 2 and Pro Palette 3.
But to make the look really pop, Vanggo turned to Lorac's Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in Navy ($20) and Front of the Line PRO Eye Pencil in Aqua ($20), to rim lash lines, before adding a coat of PRO Lash Pomade Mascara ($23).
Says Vanggo, "To keep it modern, I left the rest of her makeup soft and subtle."
