Eminem charts career record with 'Lie'

Second 'Recovery' single is rapper's first back-to-back No. 1

NEW YORK -- Eminem posted the first back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers of his career Thursday as "Love the Way You Lie," featuring Rihanna, hit No. 1. The rapper debuted atop the Hot 100 in May with "Not Afraid," the introductory single from his current Billboard 200 chart-topper "Recovery."

"Love the Way You Lie" is Eminem's fourth Hot 100 No. 1, following the 12-week juggernaut "Lose Yourself" (2002), "Crack a Bottle," with Dr. Dre & 50 Cent (2009) and the aforementioned "Not Afraid." For Rihanna, the track is her seventh No. 1 since first appearing on the scene in 2006, the most by any artist during that time span.

Katy Perry's "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg, slips to No. 2 after spending the past six weeks as the chart's leader. However, while the song descends from the Hot 100 perch, it rises to the top of Radio Songs with 154 million listener impressions. The track is Perry's first No. 1 on the airplay-based tally.

This week's Hot 100 top 10 hosts no new entries. "Airplanes" by B.o.B featuring Hayley Williams holds at No. 3, Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" jumps 6-4 and "OMG" by Usher featuring will.i.am, slips 4-5.
