Emmy Rossum to Be Honored at Carmel Film Festival

The DreamWorks team behind 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' also plans to fly in

Actress Emmy Rossum will be honored with a special tribute at the Carmel International Film Festival, which runs from Oct. 15-19 in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif. The fest is also planning to present a spotlight on animation with a DreamWorks Master Class discussion that will include How to Train Your Dragon 2 producer Bonnie Arnold, POV production designer Pierre-Olivier Vincent, supervising sound designer Randy Thom and composer John Powell.

The festival, headed by president and co-founder Thomas Burns, will screen more than 120 films, including features, shorts, docs and student films. Rossum will appear with the film You’re Not You, in which she plays a caregiver helping a woman diagnosed with ALS, played by Hilary Swank.

Among the 24 feature films to screen at the fest are such titles as Nightcrawler, The Homesman, Whiplash, Learning to Drive and Laggies
